Think about it...
Not too long ago, people had no electrical power. No refrigerators, computers, Internet or TV. No Safeway or Walmart, and no hyperactive law enforcement. Yet, somehow they had what they needed to survive... Otherwise, we wouldn't be here!
The truth is, modern lifestyles aren't preparing us for difficult situations that can easily arise in life, such as inflation, economic depressions, natural disasters or power outages. Most people have grown so dependent on the "grid," believing they'll never lose their ability to "google" information or buy any product in the world online. This dependency syndrome couldn't be more dangerous when it comes to medical care.
If the cost of your daily medicine suddenly skyrocketed, what would you do? What if there's a widespread power outage and hospitals go out of service? When there's a financial or natural disaster, pharmacies are among the first locations raided by thieves. The point is, you can't count on modern medicine in the event of a disaster.
It's terrible to think about. But...
